95 degree weather could not keep our Wildcats from coming out to help raise money for a worthy cause on August 10th, 2007. 100% of the money raised during this benefit carwash is being donated to the Children's Home Society so they can continue to assist children in need. To volunteer or to make a much needed donation please contact them at 850-266-2700.
We want to thank our community for coming out and giving support to our Booker T. Washington High School Band as they braved the heat to wash cars to raise over $300. The kids had a great time washing cars, but the heat prevented the small ensembles from playing more than a few minutes at a time. A big thanks goes out to the kids and the parents who participated. Being part of a marching band is very demanding and time consuming, but it is great that these kids and parents could find the time to help out those less fortune. One of the best things we can do as a band is to give back to the community. We will present our check to the Children's Home Society at our first home game where we will sponsor some of the kids to attend.
In the mean time enjoy the slide
