| Amazing would be the word to describe the 2007 FAMU
band camp. Campers arrived from all over the U.S.A. and from other
countries.
In one week, they put on a parade, displayed their skills during one of the many concerts and marching precision. Each band camper also auditioned for one of three bands. Orange, Green and Honor band. Each of these bands perform 3~5 selections. Some campers also performed in the Jazz I and Jazz II bands. And concurrently there was a Jazz camp being hosted. Finally the campers put on a pre-game show and a half time show. It was phenomenal. During the Chamber Ensemble Concert we were entertained by thirteen different selections. Each section displayed their talents. The French Horn Choir, Clarinet Choir, Saxophone Choir, Flute Choir, Trumpet Choir, Trombone Choir, Baritone/Tuba Choir and the Percussion Ensemble. The Jazz Band II closed out the first part of the morning. We've uploaded the Clarinet and Saxophone choir's performances along with the Percussion Ensemble. The second half of the morning we were entertained by the Symphonic and Jazz band. The Jazz Band played 5 selections. The Orange Band played 5 selections, Green Band 5 selections followed by the Honor Band playing 6 selections. Come back soon for some samples of the pre-game show and half-time show!
