2008 FBA

J.Starke! The band room opened at 11AM, Saturday, October 11th, 2008 for the band to warm up. Clouds overhead kept the temperature lower than the forecast which was good as it always gets hot for our Wildcats wearing their uniforms. Time was against us as it seemed only yesterday we were doing our Battle of the Bands show! Taking over the football field was the band as the football team had the day off. Parents were working hard loading the truck and preparing lunch for the kids. While the kids ate lunch we showed the video of the previous night's halftime show. Mr. Young added some more tweaks to the routine and we loaded the buses and headed out to Tate H.S. for our FBA marching Music Performance Assessment.
Thanks goes out to our equipment team. They have done a great job,
loading and unloading the equipment, seat cushsions, drum major's stand,
water and everthing else the band
needs.
We were happy that Aryn who couldn't march with us last year was able to this year. And hey Aryn you missed painting my pinky!! For those who don't know we had "pinky power" last year and did have some pinky power this year. "Pinky Power" is like the tee-shirts saying, "I'm with the Band." Mr. Young tuned up the band and and JaVera Hollinger worked with the colorguard section.
As always if you have any FBA band photos send them to photos@theplayingcats.com.
